2013 Carmen Gum Memorial Scholarship

About the Scholarship

This scholarship is dedicated to the memory of Carmen Gum and her tireless contributions to JA and the Huntsville, AL area. Carmen’s superb volunteer work has been a key contributor to the successful growth of Junior Achievement and has touched the lives of many students. This scholarship serves to carry on Carmen’s work and continue her support of the development of local students.

 

Scholarship Eligibility

 To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, you must:
  1. Be a high school senior in the JA of North Alabama service area (Colbert, Cullman, Dekalb, Franklin, Jackson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marshall and Morgan counties Alabama and Lincoln County, TN).
  2. Have participated in at least one JA Program during high school.
  3. Plan to attend a 2 or 4 year college or university in Alabama.
  4. Have aspirations that include living and working in the North Alabama area.
  5. Be available to attend the JA Business Hall of Fame Gala on April 12, 2013 to accept the scholarship award
  6. Complete the application as described on attachment and mail it or deliver it to the JA Office at:

Applications must be delivered to the office or postmarked by February 28, 2013 to be eligible.
